Your books deserve someone who cares
Avenue Bookkeeping was founded on a simple belief: small business owners shouldn't have to choose between growing their business and keeping their finances in order.

Melody Gerlitz
Blessed to be born and raised in the Spokane area, and I am fortunate to live here with my husband and two sons. I have spent over a decade managing restaurants and nearly a decade managing a dental office — handling operations, staff, and the books. I know what it's like to close out a register at midnight and still have to reconcile accounts in the morning. After 20 years of handling the day to day for these businesses, I made it official and opened Avenue Bookkeeping. I joined the QuickBooks® ProAdvisor® Program and began helping business owners by partnering with them on their bookkeeping needs, offering the support and knowledge I have gained throughout my career.
Since then, Avenue has helped dozens of small businesses across Spokane get their finances organized, cleaned up, and tax-ready — from brand-new startups to companies with years of backlogged books.
One client called me on April 1st with two years of backlogged books and a tax deadline breathing down his neck. I worked through Easter weekend and had his books clean within a week and a half. That's what I mean when I say your books matter to me — not as a tagline, but as how I actually run this business.
“Melody's communication was clear and very prompt, she didn't leave me questioning anything. I was in a really stressful situation coming into tax deadline and the experience I had was absolutely incredible! More stars need to be available for extra credit, she deserves it.”
